When it first came out in 2019, the iPhone 11 was a revolutionary step-up from the previous iPhone XS lineup. It has a powerful-dual camera system, A13 Bionic Chip, and has a much more powerful FaceID system. The iPhone 11's technology was incredible three years ago, and now Apple has released the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, the latter being the most powerful iPhone with a new TrueDepth camera setup and the A16 Bionic Chip. But is the iPhone 11 still a great phone to buy? How does it stack up in terms of performance in 2022? Can it run iOS 16 smoothly? Or, why is the best iPhone to buy now is the 11?
Overview
The regular iPhone 11 is the base model of the 11 lineup. It has a 6.1-inch screen, FaceID, an A13 Bionic Chip, and a dual camera system. The 11 is almost a "pro" model of the 2020 iPhone SE. Unlike its next-gen iPhone siblings, the 11 doesn't support 5G, but 4G LTE is widely available and runs smoothly from my testing. It doesn't have the latest camera modes and effects like Action Mode, Dolby Vision, or Cinematic Mode, but it does support Night Mode.
