At E3, there were a whole bunch of games many people were excited about like Metroid Dread, the Hyrule Warriors DLC, Mario Party Superstars, and so much more. But the only one thing that caught my attention was the second trailer of Breath of the Wild 2. The trailer showed us much more of the environment Link will explore in this game. If you didn't get to see the first two trailers at E3 2021 and/or E3 2019, you can watch them below.
The first one is from this year:

Story and Gameplay
Locations in Game
|
The story for Breath of the Wild 2 may be tied in with the story from Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Both games show the ability to fly between different islands in the sky, and land back down to the ground below the clouds. But why does Link have to fly to these islands? How will this help him save Zelda? I'm not very sure how this game will work but hopefully it won't be the worst Zelda game in history.
According to TechRadar, the background music in the 2019 trailer sounds similar to the music in Twilight Princess when Link defeats the Twilight King Zant. The Gerudo corpse being held by a weird hand may be trying to resurrect the body of Ganondorf. After all, Ganondorf's final words in Twilight Princess may tie in to this story. |
The exact location Link and Zelda were at in the beginning of the trailer is unknown. But there are two possible locations: Hyrule Castle or Gerudo Desert. Why it might be Gerudo Desert is because in both of the game trailers, we see green Gerudo symbols floating and whisping around in a spiral shape into the undead figure Link and Zelda find. Also, the undead figure has some Gerudo jewlery located on its body. This might also mean the return of Ganondorf, Ganon's human form.
Also from the E3 2021 trailer, Link is seen in Eldin Canyon. This means that players get to revisit areas from Breath of the Wild. |
New Fighting Abilities
Enemies In Game
|
As we all know, Link's right arm has "transformed" into some sort of "super-arm." It might help Link overcome much more powerful enemies. And we also see Link's Master Sword. But why wasn't it seen in the other part of the trailers seen. Does Link have to go through another Trial of the Sword to give the Master Sword more power? Or the Master Sword is not even powerful enough to defeat the undead figure.
|
The one enemy that caught my eye was this one-eyed robotic enemy that doesn't look powerful but it probably is. And from the background, this looks like Link is on one of the floating islands in the sky. This tells us that Link will have to overcome one of these enemies over his course of challenges he will encounter to earn more power little by little.
And it seems like enemies like Bokoblins are back in the game and have evolved to have longer horns on their heads. And the Bokoblins have even made their camp on a Stone Talus. That means that previous enemies may be tougher and smarter than before. |
New Features We Want From the Game
The one thing Breath of the Wild 2 needs is the ability to leave Hyrule Kingdom without having to do complicated glitches that will destroy your whole game. The picture on the right show a video from GamingReinvented.com, as you can see, the player has found a glitch that makes Link moon jump and go past Hyrule's borders in Breath of the Wild.
This image to the right shows some grooves on the ground which look like a man-made canal or farm that is not part of Hyrule Kingdom. Maybe Breath of the Wild 2 will probably have Link encounter another kingdom that we don't even know about. Guardians should make their way back into the game. Since Calamity Ganon went away, guardians shouldn't be hostile to Link anymore. And Link may be able to control a guardian himself, or the guardians will be independent on their own and help Link on his mission. Wait, what is Link's mission in this game? |
What is Link's Mission?
What is the Name of Breath of the Wild?
Really, we don't know. Maybe even Nintendo hasn't come up with a name for Breath of the Wild 2. But here's a list of possible names for the game:
