Nintendo had announced the Nintendo Switch (OLED model) back in July on the Nintendo Website and News Channel on the Switch. The console has a nice white, milky color and matches the color of Samus's outfit in the new Metroid Dread game that was announced this year’sE3.
My first impressions of the Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is that I like how the joy-cons have the same design as all the previous ones. The game dock has an updated design and it has a built-in LAN port. The console has a 7-inch OLED screen and the graphics look much better than the previous LCD screen on the original Switch. And tabletop mode can now be much more enjoyable with the newly updated kickstand that is much wider and it reduces the chances of your game collapsing laying flat on the ground or table.

This image from the Nintendo website reveals that the buttons on top of the console are updated and, once again, it shows the updated kickstand, meaning the Switch OLED will not collapse when you bump into the table it’s standing on. You can see that the Nintendo Switch logo is now located on the kickstand, another key difference from the original Switch.
The Switch OLED now has 64GB of storage, twice the amount from the original Nintendo Switch. And in handheld and tabletop mode, it has enhanced audio and the kickstand is updated allowing you to play at any angle you want in tabletop mode. The NVIDIA Custom Tegra processor is the CPU/GPU for the Switch OLED, same as the original Switch and the Switch Lite, but you’ll probably notice the difference between the two with the fresh new processor and the crusty and old processor. You can see the full technical specs here.
The Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is not the Switch Pro console, and there will never be a Switch Pro. But possibly, Nintendo’s next-generation console will have all the specs that was expected from the Switch Pro and features like a fresh new processor possibly even more powerful than the Xbox Series X. Nintendo hasn’t said anything much about its next-gen console, but the Nintendo did give the year it would be announced, “20XX”.

The Nintendo Switch (OLED model) was released on October 8, 2021, the same date Metroid Dread was released. It has been priced at US $349.99. Since it's closer to the holiday season, it has been very hard to find the Switch OLEDs in stock. Most of the Switch OLEDs with white joy-con are extremely hard to find but the OLEDs with the neon joy-cons should be a bit easier to find. If you want to find ways how to grab a Switch OLED in stock, CNET should be able to help.
