Nintendo has shown its fans a bunch of gameplay footage, the setting, and new abilities and encounters we'll experience in Splatoon 3. But I wondered how Nintendo would bring a much bigger game to aging hardware, but it seems Nintendo is one step ahead. Identified by OatmealDome on Twitter (via NintendoLife), it seems Splatoon 3 will use AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0, AMD's upscaling technique similar to NVIDIA DLSS. If this is true and Nintendo does decide to use AMD FSR, we can expect to see smooth performance and frame rate.
Nintendo hasn't confirmed it but Splatoon 3 will most likely run at 1080p 60fps docked and 720p 60fps handheld.

Splatoon 3 is not the only title that has licensed AMD FSR: Nintendo Switch Sports used this technology during it's open betas, but it's not confirmed if it's actively used in game. It seems now that Nintendo is now using AMD FSR on its Nintendo Switch systems since they use an 2015 NVIDIA Tegra X1 chip, which at the time was great. Into the coming months into later next year, we could see games like the sequel to Breath of the Wild, Bayonetta 3, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and Metroid Prime 4 use this technology.
