This article is currently in development and I’m currently working on a “more-in-depth” article Nintendo announced at this February Nintendo Direct. I currently have the current trending announcements in my opinion below.
Splatoon 3: Salmon Run Footage
New footage was shown from Splatoon 3 revealing that Salmon Run is making a comeback, along with a mysterious monster never seen
before. And Splatoon 3 is planned to release this summer, so be sure to get fired up for more Splatoon!

Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Just as expected, there was some more exciting and thrilling gameplay footage of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. There was one mode that was introduced called Mouthful mode that allows Kirby to swallow a car and turn into a car. Very weird and cool.
The game is set to release on March 25, 2022.

Mario Strikers: Battle League
Looks like there is more Mario sports underway for Nintendo Switch. Mario Strikers: Battle League is a Mario-theme soccer game with a many twists and turns you can pull on enemies. You can connect up to 8 people, 4 people on each team, and each person needs to have at least one joy-con controller to play. And you get to play as almost every character from the Mario series.
The game is set to release June 10, 2022.

Nintendo Switch Sports
Nintendo has also surprisingly announced Nintendo Switch Sports. The game looks has very similar gameplay footage to that of Wii Sports. It looks like a very fun game but I also have some negative thoughts, which I will discuss in tomorrow’s detailed article.
The game is set to release on April 29, 2022.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: New DLC
New Mario Kart 8 tracks are coming to Switch. There will be 8 waves of tracks until 2023 that will feature tracks from the Wii, 3DS, and the N64. The DLC costs $25 and it’s also bundled in with the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
The first wave of this DLC will be released later this year.
