The first ever Need for Speed game came to Switch about a year ago, bringing high-quality graphics you would find on the Xbox Series X to the best

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered - Overview
This game was originally released on the Wii back in 2010 and was ported onto the Switch in 2020. And the game has the similar elements you'd find in previous Need for Speed titles: you complete missions, unlock knew cars, rank up to be the most wanted, race other players, and escape from the cops. You have five classes of cars, each with different speeds and acceleration. The game also has cross-play and cross-progression, meaning you
can continue enjoying the fun with your friends on different platforms; All you have to do is link your EA account to your Switch account via the
game and you're ready to go.
After a year of having ownership of Hot Pursuit, I have been on a speedy journey through the game. I usually play this game on the weekends when
I don't feel up to any adventures in Breath of the Wild or playing endless hours of Minecraft. The game has also brought me so much excitement
and adrenaline dodging cops and racing to the finish line.

What I Like About This Game
First thing I like about this game is the intense graphics. I never even believed that the Switch's Custom Tegra processor would be able to handle
some powerful computing power. I wonder if the Switch had the right amount of hardware in order to pull this off or this game has a complicated
software and algorithm to pull this off. And I can't imagine how this would function and look like on the Nintendo Switch OLED.
The second thing I like is that there are about 15 songs that specialize in the dance and rock genres. But I wish that the game would be refreshed with a new, broad selection of games.
Third, I'm impressed with the built-in Autolog system built into the game. Electronic Arts had a lot of educated programmers when it came to programming the Autolog system, which learns from my previous game sessions and predicts what may happen next, along with some personalized suggestions whether I should complete against one person's record timing on one track or work more on another field with some suggested races. It also alerts me when I have successfully took down a cop or racer during one of my races.
Last but not least the game really impressed me with the different game modes to be a cop or racer. It's cool being on opposite sides that have
a grudge against each other. This also help me predict what a cop may pull off when I'm a racer so I have a complete advantage. This also works the other way around.

What I Don't Like About This Game
Even some of my favorite games I find the most appealing also have some downsides. One thing I want to note is how the developers don't shuffle
new songs into the song library. As I said previously, the game's library of songs needs to be constantly updated and there should be new genres of music. And I want to see many different genres of music other than dance or rock; I want a more diverse library of music but I don't see EA
making future plans with new music soon.
And what about new locations? The game has different biomes across Seacreast County like a deserts, forests, beaches, mountains, and a
foggy plains but what about a sprawling urban region. I've seen many locations on the different highways across the map that extend out further
beyond the county, and I'm not sure whether this is EA indirectly saying that it will add new locations to the game in the future.

Game Rating: 4.5 out of 5
Just because the game didn't have an extra 0.5 score doesn't mean its a bad game. But I hope some of my ideas would be put into the game
in the next major update.

Where Can You Get the Game
The game would average to about $40 if bought digital from Nintendo, Microsoft, or PlayStation Stores.
Physical copies of the game will vary from store to store
