Yesterday, I had a chance to test out the new Nintendo Switch OLED at Target and I wrote down here in this article about my experience with it.
Nintendo Switch (OLED model): First Visual Impressions
I had first knew this was the Switch OLED when I saw the white joy-cons. Then when I walked over to hold it in my hands, I saw this larger 7-inch
screen and it immediately clicked into my head that this was the Nintendo Switch OLED.
I only had enough time to play Breath of the Wild, but this was enough for me to learn the true processing power of the Switch OLED. The movement of Link was very fluid and the background had great animation; it almost felt like I was outdoors. The joy-cons felt a little worn out and
were not crystal white but a grayish color due to the fact that many people of all ages ruined this fine Japanese masterpiece.
Breath of the Wild had loaded up reasonably faster than on my Switch. Did NVIDIA do a minor upgrade to their Custom Tegra processor between
2018 and now? The OLED screen even makes a huge difference due to its more sophisticated technology than the standard LCD screens.
I even theorize that Nintendo Switch games, even third-party ones, will be brought to their full potential when played on the Nintendo Switch OLED.
There are some parts of the software in modern games that have this extra programming only set for a gaming system with this amount of processing power. For instance, Breath of the Wild 2 may have coding to enable a much longer draw distance radius for the next-generation Nintendo console, but it won't be enable for even the Switch OLED itself.

Is the Nintendo Switch OLED Worth It?
For me, yes it's worth it. My current Nintendo Switch is now starting to show its age and I shouldn't smell a hints of smoke coming from the cooling
vent. I want to upgrade to a much more updated Switch to continue through the world of Nintendo hybrid gaming for even more years. Of course,
Nintendo's next-gen console may be even better, but the old things become even better when you're re-introduced to that library, and you'll
remember the fun you've had through a five-year journey.
What about the reader? If you have owned a Switch less than three years, you're probably good until the next-gen console is announced. But if
you're going on five years, then yes, you should try really hard to get yourself a Nintendo Switch OLED.
