For some people it might be hard to not have Fortnite on iPhone or iPod touch anymore, but I’m here to save the day today. I’m going to give a list of the top three battle Royale games that are available on the Apple Store at the time I’m publishing this article.
Note that this list may change over time.

PUBG Mobile
Pros:
Cons:
- Realistic graphics
- Impressive gameplay for free
- No in-app purchase needed
- Great introduction to Battle Royale games
Cons:
- Consumes battery life
- Requires a stable Internet connection
- Not controller supported
I’ve recently stumbled across PUBG on the App Store just a few weeks ago, and now I’ve been playing almost about one match each day. When you start a match, it may seem not much will happen but there’s just more and more action that arises the longer you play.
The Battle Royale game is very similar to Fortnite; you land at a random location on the island, grab your guns, loot, heals, then you fight for survival. For me, it was very simple taking out the different enemies I encounter along the way, but for other players this could be a challenge. And you can go in settings and change the level of the graphics, the frame rate, and the look of the landscape. On iPod touch, I was only able to reach HDR but on the iPhone 13, a player could probably make it beyond Ultra HDR.

Call of Duty: Mobile
Pros:
Cons:
- Console-level gameplay
- Supports controller
- Unique game modes
Cons:
- Drains battery during extended use of gameplay
- Could have been polished in some modes
Call of Duty Mobile not only has Ranked Matches and Multiplayer modes but also it has a Battle Royale mode. When you go in to play the Battle Royale mode, the User Interface (UI) , graphics, and layout look almost similar to that of PUBG Mobile. But don't get your hopes up on playing a
decent quality Call of Duty Battle Royale; you'll need an iPhone 11 or later if you want to experience the full functionality of this game; the frame rate can get choppy on iPhones with a A11 Chip or less (iPod Touch 7, iPhone 8, iPhone 9, iPhone SE, iPhone X, iPhone 11) and the game uses up
a little too much data since there are unnecessary patches that are constantly downloading with improved audio, gameplay, and other upgraded
software files. No matter how many patches that Call of Duty releases, older iPhones still have problems due to the older pre-programmed software
and hardware.
If you have an iPhone 12 or 13, you'll have the best fun with Call of Duty Mobile. If you have an iPhone SE, X, or 11, you might have fun depending
on how much wear and tear you have put onto your phone.

Creative Destruction
I haven’t had a chance to review this game, but it seems to have gained popularity with the Fortnite-like graphics and gameplay. From the game description, Creative Destruction is a 100-player Battle Royale and you have to be the last one standing and escaping from the closing ring.
Comparing this PUBG Mobile, this game would probably have an advantage with bright and colorful graphics, but I haven’t reviewed this game yet, meaning PUBG may be the better choice.
Update: After writing this article, I decided to download it onto my iPod touch 7 to test it out and see if it's really worth playing this game. A review
should be available by this weekend.

My Take
PUBG Mobile and Creative Destruction would be my pick. One has the realist graphics and terrain while the other one seems like the best copycat
of the true title to play.
Call of Duty's Battle Royale would probably be my last resort just in case if I find myself in a situation where I can't play neither.
